Even though personally I am not into gangster movies, I liked the movie. It was an educative movie for us who have no idea about the life stle in Russia, in the 90's. I learned a few Russian words and am quiet confused about the value of money there. As per the english subtitle a melon costed 6000 !!!!

Worth watching!...very good story of love and war...liked the scene most when Kolchak's feelings for Anna continue to grow, however. When she approaches him to deliver a love letter, Kolchak informs her that they cannot ever meet again. When Anna demands to know why, the Admiral responds, "Because I love you."
