Struggling to hold together her trainwreck family, Helly tracks down her drifter brother to a seedy, remote island off chile and discovers him living with a ragged group of expartiates. He reacts to her frantic demands to return home tricking her into being stranded, but she falls in love with one of the drifters and with wanderlust itself.
